Hier Apparel is a Chicago based women's apparel and accessory label founded in 2007. I'm self taught and my work is always evolving. I draw inspiration from my imagination and experiences, as well as the past and the past's perception of the future. My designs are increasingly modern and minimal, but rooted in an appreciation for organic geometry and it's ever present reflection in modern culture and urban infrastructure. I focus on everyday wearable garments with simple shapes and unexpected details. Hier Apparel is derived from hier, a Greek prefix meaning sacred and stands to magnify the elemental qualities in everything and offers a response to our culture's attempts toward the separation of humans and nature.
