My name is Emil Congdon. I live in Nashville, TN with my wife Leslie and my 8 month old daughter, Alice Porter. I graduated with a degree in Political Science and decided to run from a suit. I am an upholsterer by day, and have been so for 3 years, hence the shop name. I love sewing and feel most creative in front of my machine. I have never felt like an artist, more like a craftsman. I try to stay open to new creative ideas and soak up as much as possible from my surroundings. I am inspired by simple things, and I try to pass along my inspiration. I hope you enjoy.
